Broadwood Education
All
of our schools operate with a central ethos - access to a high quality educational provision is a fundamental right for all children and young people. We believe that all children and young people have the potential to succeed in education if they are given the opportunity, motivation and support they need.
Keys Broadwood Education offers a holistic approach addressing both the academic and socio-emotional needs and development of the student. It is through this approach that we have been able to engage even the most disaffected learner and support them in achieving positive outcomes.
We employ highly qualified teaching and support staff who have expertise in working with ASD, SEBD and MLD students. Our focus on the CDP of education staff also ensures our team are up to date with new curriculum developments and requirements.
With an extensive range of provisions across the country, including a residential school in Lancashire, Keys Broadwood Education is able to provide high quality, individualized education programmes in numerous geographical locations. Upon admission to any of our provisions, a full academic and behavioural assessment is carried out to produce an IEP and IBP for each student, with SMART targets devised to meet their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
We provide access to the full National Curriculum which also includes Outdoor Education and Vocational Training. In addition to this we also offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Youth Sports Leadership Award Scheme and the Asdan Award Scheme.
We recognise that it is crucial for all young people to have the opportunity to leave school with recognised accreditation, for their achievements we offer a wide range of nationally recognised accreditation ranging from AQA Unit Awards through to GCSE's. We also work in close partnership with the Connexions Service and local colleges to provide all students with the opportunity to attend work based placements and/or college in Key Stage 4. We provide both day and residential placement options working in partnership with our specialist Broadwood residential homes and Keys homes.
If a child is unable to attend a school then a tailored individual package can be delivered on site using mobile tutors. One of these programmes is ASDAN which can also be delivered by appropriately trained residential staff.
