| Mission/focus | At Halton School our first and primary approach to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties is to address their feelings about themselves. The raising of self-esteem is a pre-requisite to any changes in behaviour and only then will any progress in learning be possible. We aim to ensure that the children and young people who attend Halton School are given a holistic education that will provide them with learning opportunities, which target their specific individual education needs. This will help them identify and focus on their academic, personal and social succeesses and will teach them how to conduct themselves to that they may relate to others in a socially acceptable way. |
| Facilities | Halton School has 3 classrooms, kitchen and an IT room. We have our own in house Therapy Department that can be accessed plus have contact with a range of outside agencies to help support the child and family, which include CAMHS, Family Support Workers etc. Halton covers the National Curriculum subject and we have external accreditation through AQA and setting up the ASDAN awards. |
| Special annual events | Every year we have our Christmas production, Open Day and a number of events that raise money for a variety of charities eg, Jeans for Genes day, Comic Relief and Children in Need |
